and bring to OTMT? My voltage reg on alternator is going out and I am getting another but they cannot ship it out until thurs- can someone bring it up to OTMT so I can put it in then? We will be there saturday am? Thanks

That would be great chuck- They said thursday I will confirm the time tomorrow- I may have it airshipped for friday delivery as I dont want to break down on the way out there, I will let you know in the am.

What symptoms of failure are you having? My volt meter waggles when I use the turn signal. I can bring my '62 FSM with me if you need it.

Thanks David. my guage is all over the place and my radar detector has a voltage gauge that has been reading anywhere from 12-16 volts. I am thinking it is VR. I do not have a multimeter to check though, so I thought having a spare alt would be a good idea anyway. I have my 60 fsm I will bring if I dont get it air shipped friday.
I'm supposed to swing by there on my way to pick up Chuck.

They cannot give me an accurate time when it will arrive so I am having them overnight it to me for friday delivery. Anyone up for helping me change an alt on saturday?

There definitely won't be a shortage of tools. If I'm in camp when you get there, I'll be glad to help. Do you have blankets to protect that pristine paint? I sure don't want to be the one to put a nick on the fenders...

Yeah I will take care of all that. I am looking forward to finally meeting all of you this weekend.
I'm in for helping with an alternator change when we get to camp on Saturday! The last big thing I did was help JP put a locking diff in his '62. I'm sure I'll need to change mine out soon anyway . . .
