just bought a small block 350 bolted to a sm420 which has a late 60s vaccume t-case atached to it. planning on doing the swap soon to replace my smoking f motor. this vaccume stuff kinda scares me. i like the one i have in my stock 72. do you think i can just un bolt the older style t case from the drivetrain i just bought and simply attack the one in my truck. of course i would remove the one from my truck first..... etc thanks for any help. should i do this.....etc

It should be a direct bolt in.

X2 - I just did this conversion, the newer stick-shift setup is a bolt on update.

Like Vitesse said, you'll need to cut a hole in your tunnel cover, and either use/adapt the newer shifter mechanisms or fab your own.

thanks appreciate the help. hope the t case shifter lines up with the factory hole.........
