can i remove this?

i took off a broken cruise control unit today to free up space under the hood. a vaccuum line ran to this can from the cc unit. i'm wondering if i can get rid of it.

the second pic is just a picture of the old cruise control unit.

That's a vacuum storage can, yes, you can remove it, just make sure the line going to it from the engine is plugged.
