Got an ebay bellhousing to pair a 1uz and a r150f transmission. Bolted up pretty well, but the predrilled mounts for the slave put it an inch too close to the fork.
The fork seems to be under engaged tension and if I rotate the engine the tranny output turns.

I can't move the slave back because the old holes slightly overlap and there isn't enough material there anyway...

I am thinking easy solution to cut, but thought I'd check in...

I don't see why not, assuming it'll work with enough throw after cut down. Take the piston out of the bore and hold the shaft in a way that it does not mar the shaft.

I cut my FJ80 brake master pushrod down to swap it into the 40. Shape the end carefully, cut little bits at a time of I make sure you don’t go too far. Fine grit flap disc then some Emory cloth works well.

yep, no problem and I actually like to pull the pushrod out of the slave and cut the inner part to retain a factory outer look and rounded-ness
