Saw a 2011 yesterday at dealer. Same stereo system. USB port in same place as aux as can see in pic.

I just put a stereo in my boat with USB and love it. So much easier than iPhone.

My wife's LX has it too.

I wonder if it could be added and how it's wired.

Also check out these black floor mats on this 2011.

I'm not to great with electrics so can't offer any specific advice other than asking a good shop in the area. That you have the opening means it may not be too difficult to modify it, though this is a layman's opinion. My 2010 also has the USB port like the 2011 and not the "aux" your has.

Looks like the stealer ordered the wrong floor mats. If someone was concerned with dirt, they'd want rubber ones anyway. This just looks (and is) mismatched as it doesn't even match the dash color.

The floor mats are supposed to be a contrasting color with the interior. Some kind of design theme.

I can't answer your question on rewiring, but I did replace my mats with the weathertech rubber mats and think they're just great! Much easier to maintain the car, keeping the inside cleaner.

Really? I find that very hard to believe, it looks terrible for one thing and this must be about the only vehicle such a "design theme" exists for.

But I can't imagine how dirty those light tan colored mats would get in about 2 weeks of use in Colorado.

Reviving an old thread here but I was wondering if anyone ended up adding the USB port to an '08 or '09?

I was thinking of adding this but may just end up installing the iPod Interface instead because it's probably far more plug-and-play than the USB. Thoughts?

Thanks!

Going from a analog (3.5mm) device to digital (USB) has to have a A/D converter in between, so the previous UJR200 models without the USB option would be missing that part of the circuit.

Ok, that makes sense. I think I'll just go with the iPod Interface.

Out of wild curiosity, is it safe to assume that the converter you mention would be in the actual head unit of the newer ones? In other words, it's not like I could just go order the newer connector (and associated wiring) shown in the picture above and plug it into the back of my stereo. It's likely my stereo doesn't even have the input and circuitry the newer head units have.

Actually, because the signal from the 3.5mm jack would have to be converted by the head unit, the AD converter is present in the earlier models. But I'm not sure if the USB needs to see a digital signal before it can transmit to head unit.

Uh yeah, that's no "design theme" that's an incorrect order:

Mine 2011 came with the same set-up (dark mats) looks a-helluva-lot better then the tan, mistake or not. There was another one on the lot the same way too.
