pics are of rear disc conversion on 70 fj40 with proffitts bracket, MC calipers, gm 1500 non hd rotors. the brake pad is really close to the rotor, it was rubbing till I ground the edges of the metal plate the pads are attached to. only about 1/8" space as it sits now. Is this acceptable/normal?

also, pass side caliper is on rear of rotor, driver side on front, any foreseeable probs with that?

pics taken at wierd angle, the brackets are mounted normally.

thanks in advance for help

Grind it a little more if you want, or run it.

Should be fine.

Drive it like you stole it!

So where does that configuration position the bleeder?

If one or the other (bleeder) ends up at a low point you may have trouble removing all the air..........

Personally I wouldn't put up with that crap, looks stupid........

There should be no reason to have one caliper in front and one in back of the axel. Do you need to flip one of the brackets over to get them on the same side? Both bleeders should be on the top of the caliper.

Agree 100% with bleeder location, but the alignment should be fine, grind off more if it makes you feel better though.
