Hi Gents,

Well it is that time of year again to setup our yearly Calico run. I always look forward to it! I have already checked with Tim and we are a go for Jan 14/15th weekend. I plan on renting one of the small cabins in Calico. They are super comfy and cheap with a heater and a fire ring and porch out front, really cool setup. I plan to head out Friday the 13th in the evening. Will stay 2 nights in the cabin. The cabin sleeps several people so let me know if anyone else is interested in going in on the cabin with me.

We will probably run the usual (Doran / Odessa), etc. I don't plan on running the gatekeeper but will be happy to stand by and watch others bend their sheet metal.

Post up and let me know if others are interested.

Noah- have you checked availability for cabins that weekend? And are you talking about getting the mini -bunkhouse or one of the small camp site cabins?

I will know for sure if I am here that weekend in a couple of weeks- have an up coming project for work that will be out of state that may take me out.

hey Tim, no, I have not checked yet, was planning on getting one of those small cabins I got last year, will check right now.

I am a tentative for this event. I would like to come but can't commit because of work scheduling. What would be fair to chip in for a floor spot for the night?

just let us know if you can make it and we will make it work, I think the cabin I got sleeps 3 and we have 2 now.

yeah, we do pat, I am in cabin 6, just checked the rez site and there is no vacancy on the cabins, the cabins sleeps 3 and we have 2 for sure, there is a bunk bed and a large bed in there, I am taking the large bed and no way I am spooning. Your buddy is welcome to sleep on the floor and bring a pad, which is just fine with me.

We should be able to make it work, don't worry about it. Glad to hear you are in!

Noah, looks like the cabin is full, but thought I would confirm. I can make this if a bunk is available :confused:
 
Im pretty new to the area and am not familiar with Calico. What type of runs will you guys be doing? I have a '97 80 with a small lift and 35' AT's, but no lockers. Is this something I can easily do, or am I going to smash by body up? On another note, I have a buddy with a second gen tacoma, is anyone against him tagging along?
 
you probably would not want to come along, chances are you will get some body damage, we are doing doran canyon and the other one, can't remember the name. I would say if you had lockers front and rear ok, but not open. Sorry. You are welcome to come out though and head up your own easier run, there are lots of other trails around. Always happy to have folks come out. I am sure we will have a good campfire at night with some beers, etc.
