Located in Calgary Alberta now, vehicle was on a road trip from alaska to baja Mexico when it developed a transmission failure, I recently had the vehicle forsale as i was planning to sell on the state side during my road trip. Transmission issues put a strong dagger in the plan, suspect there is a failure in the counter shaft gear / possible input shaft gear. Vehicle only has 4th gear / reverse working, will require a h55f transmission rebuild or new oem transmission (2700$ usd) price is reflected of part out - value of vehicle or if someone is looking to get into a hdj81 at half the price they currently go for. Would be a excellent donor vehicle, or project to fix,
I will be heading overseas once august comes around and would prefer not to have the truck sit around for the next couple years. lots of love, lots of money, and way to many hours have been invested into this rig to where it is today, trucks main intention was to be used as a capable overland vehicle, it has been used. It has spent its live getting to places where some vehicles struggle, and then camped and driven home most weekends. It’s proven and works very well at it. Body has very little rust, frame is very clean, however does have scratches, passenger front fender has a dent. Oem flares were glued together from time of import, Would benefit from having a nice detail

Things to note :
Truck does not have a e brake installed currently, comes with the hand brake lever assembly but does not fit with where the fridge is installed.
Does not have a rear sway bar installed, shes a heavy truck.
A/c needs to be recharged properly, has a new condenser, new compressor and pulley, tried to recharge using a red tek kit and doesnt get very cold. Compressor works fine.
I have bins and bins of parts for this vehicle, hard to find stuff, spare parts, all small interior bits and the oem rear seats
