Cool, I am very happy with the chassis that Randy built. I would not change a thing on it. It could be 3" shorter and I would still have 5" ovove me. If the visibility over my 1/2 motor was not so good, i would be able to raise the seat a bunch.

One guy at Moab sat in it and he is 6'4" and he still had tons of headroom.

yup your buggy certinaly kicks arse. hope my ends up "floating over the rocks" like yours does to :grinpimp:

Man that chasis came together quick.

I noticed a calculator and book, I would guess with your axles most of the chasis has to be a one off.

Although I know most designers keep close to thier favourite design in most cases.

Looking good.

Radd, this is the second ground up buggy Randy has built. Mine was the first one. I see similarities, but this one has a more swept back look.

They are trying to keep it as low as possible with the portals so there is a TON of figuring going on.

It will be mega pimp.

Tig

Somebody knows what they are doing with that tig welder. Sweet ass!!!!!!!

JR

i thought that looked like randy's place. good choice on the builder matt, randy does excellent work. looking forward to watching this rig come together.

I have noticed the tack welds are super low and small, must be tig?

Rob

Don't know for sure, but it would make sense. One of the beauties of TIG is that you can tack without adding filler. This is great for when you want to make the final weld in that you don't have an annoying tack weld to work around. TIG tacks kinda 'sink in'.

every thing on this rig will be tig welded. I just got the tig and have to get my moneys werth. It nice to be able to weld over head with out getting burnt for all the splatter.
