We discussed Going down Cadillac to the springs and camping in lieu of doing the full trail cuz joe was struggling so much w/ gearing and his clutch on bronco last weekend. Sometime in sept.
I'm down for both. :)

Anyone on the dates for this???
I know you friggin guys have seen this thread!

I've been trying to figure out how we could do it another time but the weekend of 15-16 is the only one that works for us.

Any way you can move your on call days Keith?

Maybe if I get my old job back!! :)
Might happen actually!! :)
I'll try an switch something though.

I got my CALL SWITCHED!!!!!
So the weekend of the 15th is open for me!!:bounce::steer::bounce2::steer:

Anyone up for this!?!?!?!?!?!

how hard is cadillac to the springs now, I know it used to be rutted and off camber but other than the switchbacks not that bad... wondering if I can do it now that I have decent tires on the 80...

Pretty sure you could handle everything to cadillac and then get down it with a few spots that would test your sliders if you have them. Just a few ledges at the springs that would be fun for you.

Coming out and up cadillac could be a whole different story:frown:. But remember we all have straps and a couple of winches to get you up. You would need to be locked front and rear for it to be fun for ya and armor so you didn't worry about the sheet metal. I'm sure there have been plenty of 80s up it.

Anyone....anyone...anyone???
C'mon Fawkers!!
I traded my call for this!!!

I can do this---but is it just a camping trip or are we going to wheel some more after the springs? Maybe up big sluice and back to the springs? I ask cause I can't camp sat night but could friday night. Or just wheel on sat. day and then out.:hhmm:

Donno... I'm down to go up big sluce and back.
I think the concern was w/ young rusty's clutch burning up running the whole trail otherwise we'd be running from went worth like we usually do.

I'd like Joe to get a chance to at least part of the trail this year. Caddilac to the springs and out or the Wentworth - Loon loop would be Okay. Maybe camping Friday at Wentworth then the loop Saturday might work out better for Mark?

Ya, I,m down for the springs-some play around wheeling then out Sat. night. To far to drive just for the loon loop. Are we meeting at Incline?.

I may camp Friday somewhere heading into Cadillac!!
Donno what is permitted there??

There are some nice places just before the observation area. Looks like people have had fires before.
I heard at the jeep jamboree they (the county) were requiring that people on the con need to carry axe, shovel, wag bags, 5 gals of water and fire extingusher. Maybe that was always the case but now they are enforcing it due to the rollover/fire on cadillac hill.
