Hi guys,

I see a few threads on here about general panel removal but I'm having trouble getting the C pillar trim off my truck, any thoughts? It doesn't want to just pop off like most panels and I don't want to force it too much with an airbag right there.

Reason being is that the leading edge of the drivers side 3rd row window is moving in/out more than normal (1/4" of play in the hinge) and squeaking loudly over bumps. I figured I'd pull the trim off and see if it's just a matter of tightening something up.

Any help would be appreciated.

It has many pop out fasteners, that are best pulled on a hot day. After removing stuff like rear lower hatch threshold, rear door threshold, 3rd row side seat floor molding and both seat belt anchor bolts going through it. I start at back and work forward along top.

@2001LC : Thanks Paul, I figured it was wishful thinking to assume I could just pry that pillar back enough to access the mounting points. But this squeaking is killing me! The truck is tight as a drum otherwise so it amplifies it 10 fold.

Guess I've got a new project!

@spaber05 Here's a link to the FSM on how to remove interior panels. It shows the locations of the clips so you know where to pull/yank. Also, I found that you can skip steps 3-11, removing the lower trim panels isnt necessary to get the upper ones off. Just loosen the upper edge of the lower panel and you can remove the panel above it.

Interesting, @Ayune has done without removing lower, than it's worth a try. Although I find lower comes off easy enough, it doesn't take long.
