Now that I have a snorkel I should water proof the rest of the engine just in case I ever want to "really" use it.

Any good threads on water proofing the distributor, plugs, wiring etc?

I wanted to follow up and let everyone know how it went. For $100 I bought an old used safari snorkel that Marv at SOR had laying around. I then purchased an intake hose at the autoparts store for $20. For a grand total of $120 I got this:

I did not have the nutcerts to bolt down the mounting bracket to support the top end of the snorkel so I used rivets. I had aluminum ones on hand. Not sure if the aluminum rivets will have any issues corroding later (anyone a glavanic series expert?) Please forgive the orientation of the rivet picture. Visualize it rotated 90°.

If anyone wants a full formal write-up or more information please let me know.
