So my brother is living in vancouver, bc attending grad school (US citizen). Do any of you canadians know if he'd be able to buy a JDM cruiser and register it in canada?

Heck, buy a dozen and bring them back to the States.

They will ask to see his tattoo, no maple leaf on his ass and no way he will be allowed to buy a truck. In fact the women of the DMV are required to "pat down" all Americans that even apply for a license in Canada.

So tell him to get the standard 10cm X 10cm (in US measurements that is 1.09361329834E-3 football fields X 1.09361329834E-3 football fields) tattoo of the Maple Leaf on his right butt cheek and to rub bacon fat on his body prior to going to the DMV. The bacon fat must be at least 6mm thick (do you need that in "hot dog lengths" or some other unit in common use in the USA?). If less than 6mm thick they may get a firm grip on his wedding tackle and as we all know there is nothing worse than a DMV worker with a firm grip on the ground tackle.

Also if he is attending UBC he must go the carin every night at midnight and leave a 24 of beer, and not some crap beer. He must do this every night for the entire time he is at UBC. If he is at SFU he does not have to come to UBC every night, just bring the whole weeks beer on Saturday night. Also if he is at SFU he might want to take a class or two in "gender identification for the visually hideous post hippy era cross dressing art student".

Let me guess, I think the largest state east of the Mississippi is Russia. In fact I think it is also the largest state west of the Mississippi.

And while on the topic which Mississippi are we talking about?

not a problem. you just need a valid D/L & BC resident (address) to be able to register & insure it. lots to choose from. find an 85 or older, and he can bring it back to WA with him.

Obviously Canadian geography teachers spent the same amount of class time discussing the U.S. as our teachers spent talking about Canada so you are forgiven for not having a better grasp
of significant land features here in the States.
Largest river in the U.S. .....Mississippi river
Largest State east of the Mississippi ( in land mass).....Georgia
Take care........1978HJ45

OPPS......I did not notice that you were located in Japan instead of Canada but you get the idea.

Wow, land mass. That's pretty cool. I hadn't heard that one...

I grew up in Georgia, and they never told us that :flipoff2:

"Land Mass" ... Probably did not learn that word in the Georgia Public School System. The "Discovery Channel" probably deserves the credit on that one.

-3 football fields

2 funny..
yes only in America do they use funny things to measure stuff.
foot ball fields , Empire state building , battleship's , bullets  ,,

I would look into if you can bring it back into the Republic ..That is found in your Customs of USA.

Canada Customs has it's rules of importation from USA , Europe ETC.
Also Canada Custom needs to see the paper work to release it to usa customs , same as usa-Canada..

Know the Bringing home stuff ..
