I am working on a pre-purchase inspection. I'm contacting the shop @mceagle555 mentioned above.
As some have mentioned -- they are just seats and can be cleaned or repaired. I do have 4 kids and a dog so it's not like I need a show piece. If the seats were the only downside I'd snatch this up in a second and catch a flight to drive home.

I’m in Nashville and CS automotive are the default Landcruiser people. Owner is a cruiser owner and their lot will always have a few from different generations. Start there or a mobile mechanic. If the service history is impeccable the seats can be cleaned and 95% brought back.

Pretty sure the sides of our seats are vinyl so that is probably just the color coating separating. Not that it’ll be any easier to properly correct…
Looks like they pulled it off their website anyways. Strangely, they have a 2014 now in the same colors, but looks to be in a little better shape, hard to tell from grainy low res pictures. Also peculiar that it's price is lower. Maybe it's vehicle history has some issues.

Yeah. The dealer seems to have gone silent today after I asked for the pictures of the seats and told him I was getting a pre-purchase inspection arranged. The 2014 does have an accident on its Carfax which probably accounts for the price difference.

Common story these days. If you are shopping for an LC, you probably want to have money/loan in hand and be able to act within 24-48 hours at the most.

Based on what I’ve seen I tend to agree. The difficulty is shopping from another state and finding model or examples that can’t be easily vetted without some form of on the ground interaction.
Especially when talking about dropping 40k+ on 5-8 yr old vehicles.

Use auto tempest if you are not. I made an excel sheet for all available cruisers that met my criteria. (1 owner, accident free, southern / desert location, with decent service history) I just sent it and had it shipped up. The dealer had good reviews and the guys weren’t pushy. It was a risk for sure, but almost anything can be fixed but rust.
Haha now there's a blast from the past! I did some development work for them a decade ago, and that codebase still haunts me in my sleep.

I am sure they have moved to devsecops and revitalized their code and coding practices...I mean at least they are probably using those buzzwords when looking for funding and recruiting engineers.
