Good deal or no, I always purchase but this one made me think about it more than I usually do...still seems like implicit interest rate is way out of whack, but my math could be off. See specifically the "disclaimers' section for details. Appreciate it in advance.

I've never leased, so I'm not an expert, But I think the 10,000 miles allowed per year is also a lot less than is normally allotted, and probably reflected in the price.|

I just did some quick calcs in excel on this one. To me it's not a great deal - a typical deal.

In general, leases will be a bit more expensive. From a business standpoint you're paying a premium for the guaranteed value at the end of the lease. Even if you don't purchase at the end, they are essentially still guarantee a value (3 years down the road in this case) since you are only paying for the reduction in value of the vehicle for the 36 months used.

I've seen rare instances with european cars where the mfg gives a lease incentive but not a purchase incentive (not something for show, where the present value of payments truly indicate a lease discount greater than outright purchase discount). In these cases, I think the mfg's are doing this due to tax implications likely from their financing arm in europe but I cannot confirm.

Point is: it's rare for a lease to be the best financial decision when purchasing as an individual. If purchasing as a business, the lease has tax benefits that may alter one's decision.

Appreciate it guys ^^^

It depends on what your use is too. It’s a rental. They want it back in almost new condition minus normal wear and tear. If you lease a new 200 and wheel it to death you will probably pay large dollars in repair costs.

It is plug and play though. Pay the lease, gas, taxes and insurance and you are good to go. We lease my wife’s cars and she gets a new car every three years. Kind of fun.
