just bought a decent amount of 1.75" tubing at .120 wall and need to cut sections and use them for mounts to... does anyone know where i could get 1.5" o.d. bushings ( like spring eye bushings ) for the tubing???

the inner i.d. of the tubing is prob. closer to 1.51" but i think you could get away with that 100th of an inch??

this is gonna be used for tire carrier, x-member mounts etc..

chev front bush for 79-85 4wd are what you need, if not then the same for the rear will do it, one has a wider front bush for the frame side. i rock the same s*** and they fit mint.

I just bought spring eye bushings application 88 to to 98 GM truck rear springs. They fit nice and snug. They are 1.5" OD. center hole is 1/2". They are 2.5" wide at the outer shell, but rubber protrudes out each side a little, so they work out to being almost 3" wide total.

where did you guys buy them ? i was thinkin of just getting a set because i have to make 6-7 mounts and thats upwards of 14 bushings

summit seems to be the best price so far...

Bought mine at a local auto parts store that does leaf spring work. Was in a hurry.
paid too much at $8 each. I'm sure they could be mail ordered for half the price.

Depending on what you're using the bushings for you may want to wrap a piece of strap around the tube the bushing is in. There have been numerous reports of guys on Pirate ripping open .120 DOM when used as bushing holders.
