Does anyone have any experience taking their 200 series to Burning Man?

Concerns:
For those that do not know, Burning Man is an event that takes place in the Nevada Desert on a dried lake bed. It is known to have enormous dust storms with very fine dust. The dust is basic and high in alkaline content. From other burners hearing different things from car will never be the same again to if you keep it closed and do a good detail you should be good.

1. Playa Dust in engine
2. Running Air Conditioning while waiting to get in
3. Playa Dust inside car
4. Spray bottle of vinegar to spray in the vehicle when reopening it to neutralize the pH

Planned Preventative Measures for #3:
1. Do not open car at Buring Man.
2. Bring all supplies in an enclosed trailer
3. Painters tape on all doors an windows

Questions:
1. How well does the air filter in the 200 work for the very fine dust
2. When you keep car closed does it keep the dust out fairly well in a 200
3. With internal circulation will the AC be fine to run and not pull in too much dust

Yah, I drove a bmw r1200rt to Prudhoe Bay in 2007, they spray a chemical on the roads to keep the dust down. It never came off my headers and bonded like concrete.

Burning man, if you must go, is a ”buy a $500 Land yacht and revel in the experience” type of deal. One of my clients goes most years and the wear and tear on his stuff is shocking.

Just buy a junker to go in. If it survives, sell it for what you have into it. If it dies, so what!

Back in '93, I attended BM with a 26' Penske van and a home built sand rail. Memories.....
