I saw this 40 on ebay and it looks real good but I can't get the guy to answer my Q's:hhmm::doh:!

It looks like in the pic that the front drive shaft is not there!:hhmm: Wonder why?

And I would like to know what axles it has (all the add says is 3/4 ton chevy axles...are they d44 & d60 or what?) and what gears it has ect?

Just wondering if anyone on here knows this cruiser or knows who owns it?

eBay Motors: Toyota : Land Cruiser (item 330290896190 end time Dec-07-08 14:08:32 PST)

Thanks -

I would take a stab that its got a D44, the front locking hub looks like the size of the one in my wifes 3/4ton burban. The D60 fills the space inside those center cap/trim pieces. It probably has a 14 bolt semi floater in the rear too. Just a guess

i also don't see a front shaft. it's low on brake fluid in one master, i question the junkyard engine in what appears to be a clean body rig. i would definitely look at it in person thoroughly before purchasing.

That front differential center section is not large enough to be a 60....

Junk truck, junk truck...

please don't point them out...i hate those wings!

I thought you preferred those wings that wrap around and protect like no other....um....

shouldn't you be doing something productive:flipoff2:

Some stupid states require that your fenders cover the whole with of your tires. Like mine... ugh.

I am a huge Pontiac fan. That 400 is the biggest 1st gen V8 motor they made and it is a good motor. All Pontiac motors were built for high torque at low rpm with the exception of the 301 which became the design basis of all modern GM V8 motors. This is why GMC used Pontiac motors.

It appears to be painted Corporate Ford Blue not Pontiac Blue and a long time ago at that. At some point someone might have done some work on it.

D44 and 14 bolt was what I was thinking too! But I would still like to hear it from him and I would also like to know what gears he's running!

The 400 is the Smokey and the Bandit Trans Am Motor! I had an old 77 T/A and the car was all beet up and junkie but the motor was still screeeem'n!!!
