Hey guys,

I thought I would post this on MUD first before I hit ebay with it. It is located in Bellingham, WA and the MUD price only is $14k. The only reason I am selling this is because my two other 80's are taking up garage space. Anyways....

It's a 71' black body on a 77' frame and axles. I did not do the restoration work, but a local helicopter mechanic hand built this sucker. The body is original black paint, it has a few dings, and some minor chipped paint. Otherwise in great shape. The frame was completely revamped, all the axles were rebuild, new leaf springs, and upgrades were made.

Engine:

1969 Cheverolet 454 CU bored .30 over making it 468 CU
Stock Cast iron heads, with all roller valve train.
9:1 Compression ratio
Agressive cam, will rev to 6K, if you manually shift.
Edelbrock aluminum intake, Edelbrock 750CFM carb.
MSD distributor, MSD cap, MSD rotor, MSD Wires, MSD 6A box
Recent tune up, and seafoam treatment.
Coated block hugger headers.
All exhaust gaskets are Mr.Gasket Copperseal.
Exhaust system in press bent 2.5" off each manifold
Flowmaster Big Block series muffler 3.5" (sounds amazing)
New stock replacement metal FJ40 radiator.
Mobil 1 10w30
Water temps are 160-200 degrees, it's never been overheated.
Approximately 15,000 miles since this motor was built.
I would estimate +400 hp range, it really turns those 37's

Drivetrain:
Rebuilt 77' stock FJ axles Lock-rites added front and rear.
Warn hubs.
Morrision ladder setup to help control the big block power.
Fresh turbo 350 mated to stock transfer case
I have the downey kit to clear the front output shaft, that will come along with the purchase.
A front driveline will have to be made, to fit this new arrangement.
Brand new leaf springs with three packs removed. This gives the FJ 6" of lift, a softer ride, and more flexability! It is spring over.
It has four wheel disc brakes. FJ 60 setup on the front, and a TJM setup on the rear.
All stainless brake lines, and the master cylinder is a FZJ80. It also has a adjustable porportioning valve.

Body:
Saginaw P/S conversion (yes it clears the big block headers)
Braced frame.
It has a custom stretch top from Speciality Tops. It is in PERFECT condition.
Fenders could use a little bodywork, but other than that it's in great shape.
NO RUST. I have been religious about applying WD40 to the undercarriage. Some of the pictures appear to show surface rust, but come look in person. It must have something to do with the flash.
Energy suspension body bushing have been installed.
Comes with a CD player in dash, and a CB radio as well.
New Corolla seats installed with sliders. Rear jump seat has wear and tear, but the interior is very nice.
Diamond plating throughout.

Wheels:
15x10 Alcoa's
37x14.5x15 TOYO MTRS (BRAND NEW Maybe 500 miles on them)

WOW, man, do you think this will pass a vehicle inspection? The guys up here in abby are anal about any oil leaks and stuff like that. I'm tempted!

It's in top running shape. There is no oil leaks that I know of. I'm sure you could tune the carb so you pass inspection! One ride in this thing you'll understand, it one fast mother ;)

Nice looking rig.
I gotta ask, what is the 0-60 speed, top speed, and what is the mpg?

Also, does it have a roll bar?

It's 0-60 are probably in the 6-5 second range. Never really timed it, but if you manually shift the tranny it's just sickening how fast it is. It will turn 2,900 rpm at about 60mph. It redlines at 6,000rpm and has 4:11's and 37's. I never pushed it but I'm sure it could do 90-100.

Roll cage: Yes it has one, http://myweb.students.wwu.edu/~bakert5/lc/DSCN0496.JPG you can see it there.

?2900 at only 60mph. Lots of noise in the cabin, maybe?

what is the mpg?

thx

I get 10 MPG if I keep my foot out of it. It's fairly loud on the freeway, the big block is just about to open up at 3k!
