GM power steering conversion with borgeson steering shaft.
New speedometer cable.
Emergency brake rebuilt with new brake cable.
New hoses and fan belt.
New plugs and wires.
All work completed from December 05 to April 06 with less than 5k miles on drive train. Synthetics (Mobile1 and Lucas) used in axles, transmission, and transfer case. Body is in excellent shape and ready for paint. This is an AZ vehicle so rust is non existent. Also comes with hard top and spare tire with custom mount.
Some issues that need to be addressed:
Cut and turn was not done on the front axle mainly because I never intended to drive much on the highway. I am using 3* shims on the front axle now. Also I would replace the current hi-steer set-up with something better such as Luke’s, I’m not sure who makes the one I have on it now.
It needs to have some type of skid plate made for the tranny and t-case, I’m currently running a simple cross member with a poly transmission mount.
The winch also needs to have power run to it, which I will try to get done before it sells.
You may also want to build a trac bar for the rear axle, but I added heavier springs to the back which has eliminated most all wheel hop.
First picture is mostly stock before I started to tear it down, the other two are pretty much how it sits now except it has a 8274 winch on the front instead of the older Warn winch. I will get some more current pics up shortly.
