Everentyly everyone will have there truck broken into and have there tools stolen if it has not happened already. A few weeks back, had $1,250 of tools stolen from my 60. I live in the best part of the city with million dollar homes and million dollar views and manicured land scapes at the dead end of a street. Still got hit.

So, my cage was partially finished but still could easily get into the truck. I am heading south now to get some metal, and make the sides of my cage and..more diffcult is making a sliding door that will let me gain access to my tools from one or both sides of the truck.

What have all of you done to secure your tools in your truck? I will eventually put in a alarm when the time comes. The truck is behind some tall bushes that obscure the truck from the front of the house and cannot do anything about it. Like to put in some kind of motion sensor/cctv camera that is solar powered mounted on the truck. bluetooth is only rated at 30 feet and I am in the front of the house, so it wont work. Wifi is the next option.

Do you have the tools exposed to be seen? Did you have the tools all covered up? I always have a ratty dog blanket and tarp
over tool bags in the back of the 60. If you are a contractor, I'd recommend a steel box with a lock.
