Order of events if you're going to wheel:

Sliders first, no debate!
rear bumper
rear locker
front bumper/winch

My opinion, but I'm pretty firm on it :)

^^that. only I would add AT or MT tires up in the 1 or 2 slot, so you don't slice up a street tire. Also add in basic recovery gear like straps, shackles, first aid, knowing how to use everything, etc. I would also add in belly protection around same time as winch. If you're going places you actually will need to use the armor and winch, then you for sure want to replace the rubbermaid skids underneath.

That does make sense as does @fireball notes... Tires are good for now , sliders about to order, then get the rear tire out from underneath .. Then see about a front bumper and armor. ..

Great thanks for the responses and link.

Amazon has the hi lift extreme 60" on sale for $92, I think I will go with that one.

Same for me with sliders I am looking at the white knuckle offroad sliders.

Get a slider jack adapter for the hi lift then. When you use it make sure to kick the base a good bit under the truck so that the jack is angled away from the truck. As you lift it, the jack will lean in and eventually make contact with your doors. Can leave a nice crease. Don't ask how I know this.

Oh yea that is sweet ordering one today. This will work on my sliders for the syncro as well, perfect! Good advice on the jack settings...
Nice handle @staggerlee... When you creased the door was the night clear and the moon yellow ?....

I just don't understand the infatuation with front bumpers. They're unnecessarily heavy and wear out front end parts.
One of the first rules of offroading/overlanding is to keep things light. Nothing like slapping a few hundred pounds on first things first?
I do agree they look good and provide a mounting point for a winch, but there are definitely alternatives in that region.

Tires, sliders, winch, lockers, lift in that order ... just my .02

I just got my 100 a few weeks ago and have been planning the build. I agree with you. Also, why spend all that money to replace a bumper that's still works/looks fine. I'll wait until that fateful day when a rock tears it off. Hopefully that's next summer! :grinpimp:
