No kidding. I'm back on garden saving patrol. Our weekend participants already benefited for the pepper saving harvest on Thanksgiving.

Keep saving them, Rob! I enjoyed the remainder of the peppers you provided for lunch today on my Carl's Jr. 6 dollar burger. Those puppies were hot!

Not far off, 24. I had a nice cup of ice coffee waiting for me in the truck this morning.

Downright "Nipply" ;p

Can't see the line, can you Russ. Russ!!??

Brrr.... its colder when you have to jump start your heater in the morning. 59 deg in the house this morning. :censor:
so, do I fix the heater, or buy a lift... hmmm :hhmm:
 Well it will only be cold for another...3 months... maybe we can all just wear an extra pair of socks...:ban:
If i save a little all year next year.. maybe i can get it fixed then :D
Then i can get the lift this year to go :steer: in the snow. and hey... the cruisers got a good heater system in it. :p

Weather Channel reported minus one degree at the cabin this morining. Still below freezing at 11:30 AM. Probably one of the coldest reporting spots in the state. Don't know the zip code for Holly Lake. I remember when that was almost always the coldest spot on the news. That was before they lost their leases. Anyone else remember Holly Lake as being the coldest spot in Arizona reported on the news or am I just dating myself?

Not only did I forget to cover the tomatoes last night, I accidentally left the cat outside.

Luckily the cat is OK. The fate of the tomatoes is undetermined (haven't looked yet).

I already harvested all the peppers and got them ready for winter, so I'm good there.

your cat will undoubtedly think twice about sneaking outside after braving the cold all night :)

I remember that, your right, now that you brought it up...
Bummer they dropped it.
Is Flagstaff the new low standard? Report said they were -3 this morning.

Nice, looks like my turkey day harvest except I had a lot of yellow ones. Turns out, it wasn't necessary, everything's holding up well, I haven't even lost the basil plants. Warm lights and covers are working well.

aHA! Rob' humble abode for his prolific pepper plants - good thing you harvested before the freezes. Hopefully the lights and cover will help your plants escape the winter.

I don't think they dropped it as much a the Indians didn't renew the leases for all the cabins around the lake. It's on the White Mountains Apache Indian Reservation. When the owners had to leave the reservation the White Mountain Apaches starting renting them out. At that point who every was making the weather report had to move off the Reservation. Not sure why anybody would go to all the expense of building a cabin on leased land but they did. Found out about the rentals by doing a goggle search. Oh and it's Hawly Lake not Holly lake, my bad. I also can't find Hawley Lake, AZ on the weather channel's website.:frown:

Watching the weather it does seem between Flagstaff and the Grand Canyon they seem to be the coldest reporting locations in the state. Happy Jack does get mention sometimes on snow fall totals but that's about it. I do have one of those old weather radios at the cabin and Happy Jack does get mention by name there:bounce2:
