No tech here, in fact, I'm posting from Hawaii using some unknown persons wireless network.

I just got an email from my brother that he just bought a 2008 Land Cruiser, mostly based on my 10 year experience with the 80 series that has required essentially no repairs in 120k of Cruising.

So I guess that's the end of the Highlander jokes, and I'm looking forward to getting closer acquainted with his new ride.

Just for reference, he has 5 kids, and it came down to the Cruiser, or a Suburban.

Congrats.......I think :)

For the price of the Cruiser, he could've gotten 2 Suburbans! His and hers!!!

Congrats, theres no substitute for a Cruiser ;)

You know-I too thought the LC would be too small for his family, ant least if the rear set of seats is like the 80 series. He's happy with it, loves the power, and I hope to drive it once the newness wears off. It's quite a ride, but then for $70k it should be.

Dang Andy, I didn't even know you had a brother! haha

Do you think you could "borrow" it for a "weekend"... oh, say, DV weekend? :D

hopefully he also purchased a computer and will post his own intro :flipoff2:

hehehehe

I was just reading about the new Sequoia...I guess it's HUGE. Has enough room in the way back seat location for adults to sit comfortably!

Can't wait to hear your input regarding your bro's '08 LC. Does he live in Sacto so you can really immerse yourself in it whenever you want:D? I've got a vision of him giving you the keys and telling you to go give it a test spin and see what you think...then the look of horror when he sees you pull in the driveway, upon your little spin around the block, with it covered in thick mud goo...

Hope its warm and sunny over there!

Did you just call your brother a loser for getting a 200? Funny typo. Congratulations to your brother on his new ride. I'd love to just rent one for the weekend.
