be very careful with that and make sure you distribute the load as much as possible.... if you dent it at all make sure you undent it before starting the truck. bad things will happen if it contacts any of the bottom end when you start it. :grinpimp:

You should be fine.

Stupid question, but can you support the engine with a jack block on the DS of the engine without putting on oil pan?

Glad to hear it Kenny! Did the floor jack on the oil pan method work for you?

You'd have to put one HELL of a dent in the oil pan to make it contact the rotating assembly. The rotating assembly does not extend too far beneath the oil pan mating surface, especially considering how deep the pan is.

Actually, when I took last bolt off the strut or bracket to the engine, the engine dropped just a little. Then just lifted the mount straight up. In 2 pieces. Really destroyed. Only had to jack just a little to line bolt in bracket back up. Really smooth way of changing MM but more time consuming. Bitch to break all the bolts loose on everything we had to take off. I think all were factory installed. Took about 2 hours total but half was looking for the right socket. Bad eyes, remember. ;;). Ran fine afterwards so I'm pretty pleased.
