That all makes good since. But back to the ol' boy that does doesn't have a spare axle and birf on hand. Are we talking removing both axle/birfs and the front drive shaft, and hitting the CDL bottom assuming he can crawl out in 2WD?

Hate to beat a dead horse, but I think we're all convinced what option one would be, and after this thread Junk's spares just went up 50% .

no you would only pull the broken side axle/birf, drop the drive shaft and push the CDL button.
