Brighter reverse lights (1 Viewer)

I once read that you can replace the reverse lights with lights from a blazer. They are said to be brighter. Am I wrong?

Do a search, there's a thread on this, I think--not under "blazer" but under 50 watt bulb or something like that--there's a standard bulb you can drop right in the gives you more light.

yes Blazer brand not Blazer as in the Chevy. I have had a set in my 80 for 8 years, they work fine, never melted a lens.

I've got them too. Much, much brighter than the stockers. I think you can get them at Auto Zone. Like he said, Blazer is the name of the manufacturer, not Chevy Blazer.

I bought some halogen reverse lights a few years ago - don't know if they're Blazer brand - and I like 'em a lot.

How Much do they cost?

The halogens I got were something like $15 ea. Kinda' spendy for a couple bulbs, but with dark tinted rear window (Arizona) I NEEDED the extra illumination. As little as they are "on", they should last a very long time.
