Well, I really love the Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's. They are the best tire I've ever owned for my lifestyle and driving habits. I wish they came a size bigger. Anyone know of a tire that's anywhere equivalent to the Revo's but a size bigger?

The 285/75/16 are the biggest Revo's offered. They are the widest diameter and widest tire in the Dueler A/T Revo line. I'm not exactly ready for new tires, but when I am, I'd seriously consider a tad larger tire. Think Bridgestone will put a larger Dueler A/T Revo out???

Try the Yokohama Geloander AT-S. They come in 315's and apparently are a well regarded tire. They are fairly new to the market but i went for them and couldn't be happier.

I loved my REVO's, too. A hard-core rock crawler guy I know recommended Toyo Open Country's. He says they've got the best grip, wet/snow traction, and treadlife of all the tires he tested. I'm going to try those next.

I've had a new set of Revo 285/75-16's on since Jan '07 and they've been amazing in all sorts of weather.

They look great too. IMHO, one of the more aggressive looking all-around practical tires around in this size offering.

Currently running the 315 Geolander A/T-S on a superduty and they are great tires and handling is much better than the worn BFGs they replaced. A huge improvement over their Geolander A/T-2 which had some cupping problems. IMO they look pretty similar to the Bridgestones as well.

My Revo 285's still have some tread left. The best tire out there in terms of all around ability.

One of the best things about the Revo's are the stiff sidewalls. The Geolander A/T-S looks good as well. Having them in 315's is a plus. It would take a lot to get me to buy anything but the Revo's when the time comes. I'll have to look give the Geolander A/T-S a mush closer look though. How are the sidewalls on the A/T-S in terms of stiffness??? Any wallow or squishi-ness???

I had the Toyo Open Country ATs on my rig before I got the current set of 285 Revos, and I was only moderately happy with them. I would rate them just very good (not great) on the road, and pretty good off. I wasn't happy with the durability. I punctured a sidewall on one and had numerous cuts in the lugs. Similar wheeling with the Revos and nothing to report. They seem to handle the abuse a little better. The Revos were also MUCH better in the snow/ice this winter than the Toyos last winter. No contest in my opinion.

So far so good. They are on a truck that is used and abused and they have held up thus far but we only have about 1k miles on them. They ride nice and controlled and per others that have used them more they have outstanding wet traction not unlike the Revo's. I can't vouch for them in the snow and ice. Occassionaly they track some on our :censor: concrete freeways and expansion joints. The Geolander A/T 2 I would not reccomend but I like the A/T S. FWIW

Anything in 295's? 305/315's you are really looking at having to regear from all I've read. 295's are about as far as you can push it w/o regearing?

Point taken :whoops: I'd rather not hassle with regearing. Though going to 295's would still warrant serious consideration :D

Hi roncruiser,

How many miles you've been rolling on the Revos? I have the same tires and would like to hear how well they wear...

Get the Nittos in 295's.

I've had the tires since Dec. 2004! Bought the tires at about 91K. I have 140K on the odometer now. The best tires I've ever owned. Still lots of tread left on the tire. It's my daily driver too! Check this thread. It describes more about my experience with the tire: https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=29035

How are the Nitto's? One thing I really like with the Revo's are the stiff side walls. Are the Nitto's pretty good in that respect?

I don't run AT's, but all the writeups I've seen on the Nittos say they are a good all weather tire and a bit more aggressive than the Revo offroad.

They are also cheaper. You can do a search, but I'm not sure I've seen a bad review. I think Nittos are made by Toyo.

I've been running Nitto 315s for over 2 years with the stock gears. They are great all around tires and still going strong after 30k+ miles. I have no regrets about going bigger.

Some good Nitto deals showing up in the Tire Classifieds...

Wish I could afford them right now. One thing at a time. :D Got the Hanna Rear Bumper coming my way.

I also believe the Nittos are made by Toyo. They are definitely from a 12 piece mold, because I counted the faint parting lines when my tires were being mounted and road force balanced. I've read (here on mud) that only Toyo and Michelin use 12 piece molds, which result in a rounder tire that is usually easier to balance with less weights. I played the middle and went 295's. Unfortunately, I have no experience with Revos for any kind of comparisons.
