its plug and play... and the pedal sansation is less smushy

Finished the 4runner brake swap 0n my 97 fzj80. Hawk superduty pads, rotors , new calipers an hardware for a little less than $500 invested. Definitely an improvement in braking even with my 37's. Didn't even have to replace the master with the T-100 unit. The 97 master works well with the 4runner calipers, my guess it's very close to 1 inch piston diameter.

Was this all 4runner parts?
All bolt on? Did you have to do any machining?
