I know this is a common problem so somebody out there has got to be able to help me, put new calipers and pads, rear brakes adjusted, and my brakes still don't grab 100%. I have to press all the way down on the pedal to get the beast to stop. I don't think it is the brake booster cause I tested it and it works which leads me to believe its the master cylinder or the wheel cylinders in the rear just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and how they fixed it?

sounds like you still have air in the lines.

Buy a master cylinder rebuild kit from Cruiser Dan for about $60 and the fix is in. Easy job.

Thanks I 'll try the master cylinder

So you guys don't think its the wheel cylinders

I'm with Lowtide. Bleed the brakes (consult a manual regarding how to bypass the proportioning valve) for the cost of a bottle of fluid...especially if the braking power comes back when you quickly pump the pedal. Eliminate the cheapest possibilities first.
