To beat a dead horse.....:shotts:

Search if you haven't :flipoff2: This has been :shotts: to death.

if you're planning on taking the rig offroad, you'd probably be best to stay away from drilled rotors. Rocks and/or mud can get stuck in the holes.

personally, I like to stick with OEM (factory) rotors. I get mine from CruiserDan.

How much are they from Dan?

True again! I'm not so sure about the rock thing, and to go back to the thing about beating a dead horse, this has been discussed to death, namely by me! :D Reason I'm not so sure about the rock thing: I have had all four wheels plowing through loose gravely granite for extended runs without ever having any rock whatsoever stick in the holes. Just my personal experience.

However, I hate to but have to say I am completely sure about the mud thing: in fact, I have essentially given up on trying to keep the holes free from dry dusty mud impactions - I wash them out as well as possible during washes but even then they are always slightly clogged. It really pisses me off actually. I think if my rotors ever warp I will look forward to getting the rotors that are simply slotted.

HTH

hmm these two shots are enough for me to stay with solid rotors.

it is pretty obvios that these cracks are coming from from the stress risers caused by the slots and holes,

I hope those cracks don't happen to these DBA's:

LX EXTREME>>>> Where did you get your 7 pc brake line kit? How much (If u dont mind me asking)

Have the same one's on my front.....cracked up within a year. Had two shops refuse to turn them, finally found one that did....they stop better than before!

BUt I'm going back to solid once these burn out.

I drive freeways 98% of the time, LA traffic and heavy braking.

I just did mine TODAY. new 80 series rotors, 100 series pads. Stops beautifully now.

Even though I beat the horse to death I appreciate the update on what everone thought, thanks again!!!!!!

Hey Pablo, can you clarify something please, which ones did you have? And are you saying the rotors cracked but you still turned them? I'm confused.
