I have a 2002 4runner 5spd v6

1. after reading countless posts on how to replace front pads and rotors I gave it a shot.
2. have a hard line on the caliper so I had to remove the line, pulled calipers off, inspected, saw tear in boot, used air pressure to remove calipers, inspected cleaned replaced, replaced boot, pushed calipers all the way back. (are you suppose to bench bleed a caliper????)
3. bled the system, one man show
4 had neighbour come over for the two man job just to be sure..
5 after a couple of pumps still no pressure,
6. possibly screwed MC, possibly ran dry in system(although I thought I was keeping a pretty close eye on it) too much air in Caliper??
7. I have a rebuilt MC which I hope to put in tonight. (although I just read a post about 3 bad reman MCs)
Question: could it be that the far side of the caliper has too much air, and that I can't get bleed it out because the valve and intake bypass that side?

Please help. I'm at my witts end.

Tom

Thanks.

All done.. I took the caliper off, ensured pistons all the way retracted, then just bleed, bleed bleed with a helper.

Now I've got to take a look at the rear shoes and e-brake lever in the right rear.
