Hey all, I appreciate your responses. I am needing to do brakes on the front and likely the rear for my 06 GX470. At this time I do not think the 460 conversion is in the budget so I am looking for recommendations on pads and rotors.

I just got the terrain tamer pads and rotors on both my gx’s. Can’t say enough how awesome they feel but my only reference point is OEM.

Heard DBA fare great, cost a bit though

I've used Hawk LTS pads on my GX470 and really liked them, but I'd be willing to give Terrain Tamer a go another time. I used their front axle rebuild kit for my 80 series and was very impressed with the quality.

I've run everything for the OEM spec....Terrain Tamer has been the best by far. I am going to upgrade to the wilwood calipers with terrain tamer rotors next go round.

i run StopTech slotted rotors, calipers and ceramic pads. excellent stopping capabilities at high speeds on dirt. Highly recommend.

I bought Callahan GX 460 new caliper off ebay for $118. Raybestos R300 slotted rotor front and rear plus akebono performance ceramic from rockauto. Total cost is right about $500 including shipping and 5% discount coupons that are widely available. I am really happy with the performance. Its quiet, low dust and grab very well.
