Have a 78 FJ40 pretty much original. I have had it for a long time and I have noticed the right rear wheel will lock up during a panic stop. Over the years I have replaced the brake shoes and I have replaced the brake cylinders. I drive the vehicle daily and park it inside at night. I live in a dry climate so rust is not a concern. I have inspected the brake lines and they appear OK. Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any ideas?

Some times if the brake shoes are contaminated with gear lube or brake fluid they become sticky and lock up.

Have you pulled the drums off and inspected everything? After that, do a good adjustment to make sure the rear shoes are both biting at the same time.
