ok, I amreplacing various lines on the cruiser, most importantly the two long lines from the lspv to the front of the vehicle, one line is slightly longer than the other, and goes to the front just shy of the radiator, while the shorter one ends up in the fender well on top of the frame at an elbow to the master cylinder.

the longer line connects to a bracket with the two lines, the other is a short line back to the frame at the motor area and connects to a flex rubber hose to the axle on drivers side.
the bracket has two welded couplers and on the top side both lines return to the ABS box. unfortunately I didn't really mark which line goes where on the bottom side of this bracket.

does the long lspv line go to the further most fitting or ??? no pics yet, and I found an ABS removal thread with a parts diagram but it was too small to determine which line went where.

I already have the long lines, but removing them broke a plastic clip and I expect more to brake as the old assembly still in one piece on the garage floor to help visualize how the new lines go back. and the short metal line to the flex rubber line at the drivers side axle was really corroded as well, so I have ordered all that stuff and am waiting [cleaning up the brackets with a wire brush and coating with rust converter while I wait]

I may be able to place that short metal line in place and see where it ends up.
I can follow the two lines to the top of the front bracket from the ABS box [pump?] on my 96 they are the two lines towards the front standing at the drivers fender looking down. can anyone say which of those lines "should" connect to the long line to the lspv? is there a way to tell if those two lines are noted in the fsm as front and/or rear? then it would be easy as well, pie.........

this is the only line I cant quite picture where it goes, I am kicking myself, why I didn't write this one down I still don't know, i made notes on all the other pieces.

thanks for any help

This should help...

well, that shows non ABS, but some is similar, it "looks like the short tube [47317] to the front drivers rubber hose goes to the front line, [mine is slightly different, has the metal tube [47317] goes to a bracket [47354] then straight to rubber hose [47313A]this "corresponds' to the upper line going to the front line on the master cylinder, I am guessing on master cylinder front line=front wheels/rear line +rear wheels? if this is true, then I can follow this and attach the front tube from my rubber line from axle to that front line on the bracket, with the other line going to the line that runs all the way back to the lspv

**edit** sorry, did not mean to be rude, thanks for the help :-)

I have mine apart right now so it's fresh in my mind. The line from the LSPV connects to the bottom on the side closest to the wheel and the shorter line from near the axle goes to the other side. In other words, facing the driver side wheel shorter bottom left, LSPV connection bottom right.

thanks again Golgo, that is a great diagram ....

thanks Mike,

and I feel your pain, I started with rear calipers and rotors, soft lines and a couple axle short tubes, then during bleeding the long line from lspv to that bracket blew out[rusted] so I have been ordering and replacing it all, including front calipers [did rotors and soft lines in front abot a year ago, but didn't change out calipers but now its all new!!]

anybody have a part number for the rear brake hard line tubes on a disk brake rear axle?

My local dealer says that the hard lines are not available, where did you source your hard lines?

the only good lines on my truck were those going across the axles.... I replaced every line in and out of the LSPV and soft lines too and the small hard lines at the front on the passenger side but if you look at the diagram above[ its for a 1996 though ] it looks like the p/n's start with 47326 and 47327 for those rear axle hard tubes, you might start with those numbers and see what you can find

I did get all my lines from my dealer, and so far they have not said "not available" on what I needed, though its always "we have to order it"
