Hey fellow mudders, good morning.

I have a 96 LX450 with a 4BT and 4L80E that runs awesome. After a lot of sorting I am experiencing a new symptom. The brake light flickers and this morning I removed all (4) wheels to inspect the brakes, the front appear to have at least 40% and the rear maybe slightly less. The e-brake isn't under tension so I'm at a loss here. The e-brake could probably be tightened a little but I don't think this would cause the brake light to flicker? Anybody else experience this issue? I owned a FJ80 a while ago and I can't remember if the light came one long before brakes are do? Any help with this is greatly appreciated, thank you. L

If reservoir is full, I have seen the wires to the cap damaged, usually from movement during replacement of booster or master cylinder.

You guys rock!!!! I'm going to check this when I get home. (Crossing my fingers)

Turns out the reservoir had plenty of fluid but was ever so low and it was enough to flicker the brake light. Thank you to all that responded I was going nuts. Many thanks to everyone, I absolutely value each and every one of you.

Now go check your brake pads. If fluid is at full line with new pads then fluid at low line means you have worn out a set of pads, assuming you have no leafs.

LX doesn't leak a drop, turns out as the pads have worn the fluid level has dropped just enough to make the sensor flicker. Pads will be replaced before summer as a preventative measure but they still are at least 30%.. thanks for all your help
