Seems that new genuine brake boosters for RHD 80's cannot be obtained.

ToyoDIY says the correct pn for mine is 44610-60570 (1/90 to 7/92), and the pn changed with the 8/92 re-design to 44610-60770 (8/92 to 7/93).

Is there a genuine Toyota brake booster rebuild kit for non-ABS 80 series by any chance? I know of a pn for a 60 series one (04443-60280) but can that be used with 80 series non-ABS brake boosters as well?

Craig.

44610-60690 is showing as the 'OEM replacement' still with a price over A$1k. I think the one in my 80 is original though so it's been going 27 yrs. I've replaced the master cylinder but never had the booster out.

Re-visiting this again to get some handle on WTF is going on as after double-bleeding the brakes on my 80 following installation of new genuine front calipers I'm not sure things are quite right and the booster is original to the car (never been changed from what I can tell).

Amayama 'claims' to have 44610-60570 available but a price around A$1100. There is a 'genuine Aisin' booster on Ebay for HZJ80's sold by an apparently Australian seller:

Got no idea what it cross-references to out of any Toyota part numbers. Could it be 'genuine' Aisin (made in Japan) or just Chinese junk?

Can the original boosters be rebuilt or are they a toss-away item now?

My 80 has no ABS.
