Does anyone know if the SnapOn Solus is capable of performing the ABS pump brake bleeding procedure? My flex lines and couple hard lines are looking pretty rough, and I want to get the brakes bled correctly. Or will the 'pump pump pump till my leg cramps' properly move the fluid?

The ABS unit needs to be actuated. The Toyota SST does that without driving the truck. Only way to replicate is to bleed brakes, go for a drive where you can purposely activate the ABS, then rebleed.

Hmmm, I have access to a current and an older factory Toyota scanner. Will have to plug it in and play around to see if I can activate the pump when I replace my calipers.

With the collective ingenuity of this community, I'm surprised that nobody on here has figured out a DIY SST or hack for this. I wonder if with enough poking around in the EWD if one could actuate the ABS unit by applying power to to or shorting the correct terminals on the unit or wiring harness, or via some other voodoo. I may just poke around in the EWD & see what I can find...

Looks like Mother Nature to the rescue!! Anchorage usually sees ice and snow in the next three or four weeks... I can wait that long :steer:
