Anyone have a link to the specs chart for the BP-51? Universal application? Somehow I had found one a while ago but now can’t find it. Thanks

Did not see official designation for compatibility with some (mostly older) models of the 70 series.
You can probably mix&match to fit if you know your specific setup dimensional data (travel, compressed length, clearance etc.).
Some times it is necessary to slightly relocate some components or hoses or harnesses, due to the enlarged diameter and overall size of the BP51 shock.

I have only used it once so not an expert with BP 51's.
Fir the price tag, I believe there are several more specialty brands that have a very broad spectrum of dampening force adjustability.
For example, JRZ (a Dutch company) which has almost 30%+ - range in some of their shocks (50% adjustability rebound and comp') with 24 positions each (if I remember correctly).

So, I love Old Man Emu suspension but when looking at adjustable, remote reservoir higher end shocks, there are many alternatives for your choosing.

If you'll measure your suspension and have a well compiled dimensional envelope it would be easier for the tech guys at the different vendors to help you out and allocate the shocks you need if there aren't any P/N's specific for your vehicle model.

Good luck

We sell a great deal of BP-51 and I've not seen a comprehensive universal application chart, they are all application specific. Unfortunately for the older 6x/7x applications, they don't make many shocks valved/tuned for leaf springs (particularly the front) so while you can find lengths that work, the valving is quite different between a coil and leaf application.

I'll send you a email.

I'll send you a email.

I'm out until Monday (CruiserFest is today/tomorrow). I'll have to peak at it Monday unless the team at the shop is comfortable answering.

haven't looked into those, forgot about them, thanks.

We stock the full range of Dobinsons IMS and MRR, they are great shocks. I would personally put the BP-51 a notch above BUT give the discussion above, Dobinsons might be a good option.
