Hay everyone, not much of a problem more of an annoyance. My speedometer needle is "bouncy" on accelration, any easy fix? Any one else with this problem?
Thanks, Cliff
sorry about the double post, computer took a dump on the last listing, and no subject was showing up in the thread on my end.

This happened on my 4Runner and it was the start of my speedo cable going out. AFAIK there is no way to work this problem out other than replacement of the cable. I guess I'd leave it til it breaks or until I had nothing else better to do and then do it before it breaks. HTH.

Needs a cable and/or the cruise control transducer thingy.

Nope.

In 91-92 there is a GENUINE gizmo in-line right at the transfercase that tells the Cruise control what is happening. 93-up are electronic and there is no cable.

If it's what I'm thinking about the speedo cable is easy to replace..My needle is a little bouncy but it doesn't bother me that much, the truck is 15 years old and 80% of it is all original :D. Only reason why that percentage is higher is b/c it was a mall cruiser before me.
