2003 Toyota Landcruiser.

I took everything apart and found some suspect wiring (one of the coils was not wired) that I repaired and it is now limping along.

I went ahead and ordered a new speaker (https://www.parts-express.com/Visaton-W170S-8-6.5-Woofer-with-Treated-Paper-Cone-8-Ohm-292-568) based on a thread. I am replacing this after market (Pyle PLPW6D Subwoofer) speaker that was installed by the previous owner.

The Pyle does work now that it has been repaired but hoping for a little better with the Visaton.

Once I get the new one installed I will post whether it was actually an improvement.

You can only expect so much from a 6.5 sub in a plastic enclosure.
