I ended up buying this 2001 sight unseen from my boss (executor of an estate) who doesn't know cars and even less about cars that aren't his. My gut said the price was more than fair and that even if I found major problem items I could part it out or sell as-is and make out okay. I haven't wrenched on cars since I was a teen growing up in BFE. I live in a dense neighborhood now and don't have a garage, but I will find time and space to tinker with this truck this summer.

Glad all I had to do was replace the battery to get going because it was 11F this morning and the truck was parked outside. Idles great and ran like a top on the 20 mile drive to my house. It's a very busy time of year for me at work, but I will go over every inch of it as time allows. Prior (original) owner had big golden retrievers that rode with him so the truck smells like it and has dog hair everywhere. Driver seat heat didn't seem to work and the hood struts are shot. First thing to do is remove or cover up this Reds sticker.

My boss said it had "246k or 264k...something like that". Haha. He was off by a bit.

Looks nice!

Actually, the first thing is replacing the heater tees, no matter how much you hate Cincinnati....

Sticker has been removed. My mechanic went over it and gave it a thumb's up for a car with 322k. I've been driving it a little, but only a few miles at a time. I'll dig up a thread and replace the heater tees. Would welcome a rec if there are better parts I should use.
