worked fine when i got in to explore some settings. now, neither fob works lol.

any suggestions. it's not battery related (for both of them to go at exactly the same time). guessing they got unpaired somehow.

rookie move!

What part of the fob doesn't work? Locks, or can't start the car? Any other relevant info? Were you in techstream, battery disconnect, installing electrical accessory, etc. Would be rare for them to just suddenly be cleared from ECU memory. Have you actually tried a new battery?

no techstream. just messing w settings anyone can access through the entertainment display. car starts no problem. just locking and unlocking isnt working. at one point i manually locked all doors w the driver's door open. not sure wth i did but it wasnt anything requiring obd2. dont even have one yet. both fobs are brand new and worked fine when i first went out to the car. so it's definitely not batteries. never touched the truck's battery either.

Clarify whether keyless entry is not working or none of the functions on both remotes work (unlock the hatch, panic alarm, remote star etc)

sounds like you set your ECU to manually lock all doors instead of remotely but I know nothing about this stuff

no functions working on either FOB

Time to break out the manual then. I dont know if thats even an option. Usually its either disable keyless entry, but the fobs click to unlock system is still working.

@Acrad have you heard of anything like this?

Did you disable SmartAccess?

dont even see that option. only other option not visible is Lock/Unlock Feedback Tone.

Are near a dealer?
When I first bought our GX there were some minor issues and how-to's I didn't understand about the infotainment.
I went to my local Lexus dealer and they have a fellow who, I guess is a specialist with these displays.
He sat down with me in my vehicle and went through it all. No cost, didn't have to make an appointment or anything. Just drove up and asked for help.

So if Techstream was not being used and you possibly pushed the wrong buttons on your display, your local dealer should be able to get you out of your predicament for free and also answer any questions you may have.

Are you able to start your car to get it to them?

FOBs in battery save mode? Although it sounds like it would defeat push button start too which you stated still works. May be worth a shot anyway.

It does sound like this may be a dealer visit

yeah, i agree. likely a dealer visit considering it's pretty low likelihood i put both transmitters accidentally into battery save mode. thx!

Agree, since they should come out of battery save with a key press...

It appears this issue has been occurring on other models as well

if you can, please post what the tech found for future ref?

I see those threads posting a couple theories.

-dont have multiple keyfobs (both for the car or other lexus products) while changing settings in the the infotainment or techstream.
-dont change too many settings at a time in the infotainment system or techstream.

Anyone know if the 22-23s run the next generation global techstream or can run oldschool techstream?
