VERY clean and tidy electrical work. I hate seeing slipshod connections and flopping wires. I have to ask, do you often anchor when at camp? What does the Anchor Light switch control?

Looks like you need to make some lables next? One very nifty trick is to mask and paint over the existing label with flat black spray paint, then use the white transfer letters you can get at hobby supply stores. Lay down guides using masking tape to keep the letters from wandering. Finally, cover the letters with clear tape or clear lacquer, or they will rub off. The white 1/8 inch size in all CAPS looks great.

Hey lowtide, who's 80 is that to the left of the pic?

Its Dan Kunz's old rig. We bought it off of him a litte while ago. Its my girls DD.

And behind that is my 80series getting an fj62 shell...

you guys make me sick. I can't even get time to wheel my 80 let alone come up with projects to do to it. Going back to my crazy life now.

You're not slow, it's just that I'm a little dumb.

When I saw the pics of your rig and mods so neatly done to it it immediately reminded me of those two guys with their rigs with their mods, looking spic and span clean.

Got it! Thanks for the compliments.

Out of curiosity, what route did you use to get the power back to that panel?

Ran the 4 guage from the second batt to the fire wall on the pass side where there is a rubber grommet where a wire bundle goes through.I actually thinh it is the same hole the steering colum would go if it were an Asain or Ausie cruiser. Through that hole and down the fire wall to the floor under the door where the main bundle goes to the rear, allong the floor all the way to the rear and to the rear quarter and through the compartment to the fuse box. You need to remove all the side pannels and kick pannels to get under the carpet to the rear.

Very clean install, nice work:cheers:

Did you source the terminal additions at West Marine as well? I like the idea of leaving the posts themselves less cluttered. What guage wire are you running to the rear fuse box? Why run a seperate wire all the way for the fridge? and what guage for that? I ask, because I don't know chit about wiring, not because I question the decision. I currently have a fused(15a) 10 guage wire running to a dual West Marine outlet in the back for my ARB, and from what I read that was enough, no?

Terminals were form West. $19.00 a pop IIR. Running 4ga. I ran fridge wire from the fuse box in the back and used 10ga for the 14" run. It is wired to a 15 anp fuse. If you run a 10ga. wire to dual outlets and have it fused near the battery for 15 amps and run it 15 feet to the rear you will have a voltage drop of .462 so you will have only 11.53 for both those outlets to share and 15 amps is max for that size wire. If you use heavy strand instead of fine strand and SAE instead of AWG your voltage drop will be even greater. If it were me I would beef up the wire to a 6 or 8ga. JMHO. You will be fine if you make sure you don't go over the 10 or 11 amp threashold and make sure you have that wire fused close to the battery.

Yes I have a 10,000# Danforth anchor for the "Land Barge". That switch controles two 1/4" super bright LED's that are at the rear right below where the third row seat belts go behind the plastic pannel next to the lift gate bout ten inches off the floor.

Nice idea about the lettering! :bounce:I will use it fore sure. I have some small plastic glue on's like the "refridg" below the outlet but they ruin the look of the pannel so I wasn't going to use them. I will use your idea.
