Hi Folks

I post this thread to share the beautifull places in my country Bolivia. I hope it you can enjoy it.

The idea started because we were in search of mud and rain

Our trip beggins in La Paz at 3500 msm. In this picture we had risen to 4500 msm and we began the descent towards the tropics.

We had to meet in the town of San Borja Beni after driving for 380 km of land.

The next day we had mechanical problems with one of the vehicles, which delayed us a whole. While waiting we decided to solve the problem calmly on the plain.

When we return journey we finally arrived late at the entrance to the tropical forest.

Our anxiety has led us to enter the rainforest at night. Nothing good idea because we were tired. Drive until 2 am stuck at all times. I have no photos of it.

The next day after having slept about 3 to 4 hours journey began with the head again and colder.

It was moving very slowly through the depth of the footprints left by tractors long ago, as well as by the thick vegetation. Many times we had to cut with a chainsaw

to be continued

Chapare beutifull place.... If you go now the place is very bigger because de "leaf of coca". its the best business in town.

I hope soon you can enjoy our expeditons :)

At first we're a little sad because we did not find mud and water. But later we realized we exaggerate in requests.

The route became much more difficult and we get stuck very easily. Got to work the winches, but ...

We use the vehicles and trees to anchor winches, but we went very slow. Winches began to fail. Tangled wires and warmed their engines

This last picture was an anecdote. In the sweat of our bodies we attracted avejan of the jungle. We stung while we dealt with the winches. Funnny and pain :o

I need to upload more pictures to continue....:bang::bang:

Thanks for posting.

Not clear at first but the trip was intended to reach the Isiboro Secure River natural border between Cochabamba and Beni (2 states).

Once we reached our goal to have 2 days off from fishing and share with friends.

But we could not reach, so we still have this outstanding and we want to do this year by inviting friends from other parts of the world.

As we move was practically disappearing the way and were circulating in the jungle according to the gps and some google maps

impressive!
Clearly physically much more demanding than our Southwest US deserts and mountains...
thanks for posting

Somewhere we lost our way and a cot indigenous community. They spoke very little Spanish

2 guides provided us to reach the Isiboro Secure. We take to get some coconuts for them in the fridge, very tasty cold

The people of this community told us they were with sick and not visiting a doctor for over 3 months.

This was a sad reality, so when we went back a few physicians to go to the community, as well as we offer them all our medicines that we have in the first aid kits

A true adventure. Thanks for sharing! BTW, that was a good thing you did sharing your medicines.

Thanks!

As we move to conditions worsen. The winches were already in bad conditions have e 2 of the 3 Toyotas. And it seemed that on the night rain. Not very good news.

starting to look nasty...

eh, what's the point of being in South America if you can't take it easy, take naps, drink beer and watch nice-looking women...? :D what's this all this effort in the jungle...? :D

:)

jejejeje. I think its like living in Egypt. While you live there.... the piramides looks like other building.:popcorn:

We love adventure :bounce::bounce2::bounce::bounce2: and nice looking women too.:lol::lol:

Bolivia Expedition

I am sure coca is bigger than it was when I was there . When I was there there were a lot of Colombians running around. Here is a picture of the 60 I had outside of Cochabamba.

Great post. I would love to go backto Bolivia and do more exploring but too dangerous now with Evo.

Still runnig colombians around here. We therefore prefer to go to Beni, is a bit safer. beautifull places and the people its friendly. Yes Evo its a pain in a** but we can live with that.

Finally we left the jungle and went straight to the nearest town of San Ignacio Moxos in Beni. With the yearning to return to finish our expedition, and can get to the river Isiboro Secure.

THE END

so, how did the 80s do? (3x lockers? diesel?)

1FZ-FE 4.5 Injection. Front (4runner) & rear (fzj70) LSD. but very tight. (out of specs range).

The 3 LC's have 1FZ, but the 75 series have Aussie Locker (works excellent).
