SOLD Boise, Idaho: Complete 1995 Engine, Transmission, Transfer Case - 161K miles

Bought a really nice donor 80 series for another project, planning on using the complete drivetrain, but we're going another direction. The truck is a 1995 fzj80 with 161,000 miles that came out of California very clean, no rust. It was a $25,000 truck until it was tipped on its side during transport to a new owner. The engine smoked very lightly after being on its side, but has cleared up just fine. Ran and drove great when I started disassembling the truck a few weeks ago. I haven't done a compression check on it, but it ran very strong and smooth. Very small oil leak from the lower oil pan, but that's about it.

Id like to sell the complete engine, transmission and transfer case as a unit, but may separate if need be. Asking $3k for the package.

No US-market 80-series trucks came with a manual, and you can clearly see the 'P/R/D' on the dash in the second video.

If you want a 1fzfe in your 62, you could use the whole 80 automatic drivetrain, some combination of the right bellhousing etc. to keep your trans (probably not a great option), or get a $1250 adapter to put it in front of an H55f/H42f/etc., and then you still need to deal with custom motor mounts. If you know all of that, apologies, but if not, hope that helps!

yeah I have the a440 in my 62, the 4 spd is really limiting. I think even a 5spd manual in my 3fe would make a difference? But the 50+hp in 1fzfe, plus slightly better mpg with still rugged build are big pluses!

Bump, Lowered the price to $2500 and ran a compression test.
#1= 175
#2= 173
#3= 175
#4= 175
#5= 172
#6= 172

Factory spec is 171PSI with 128PSI minimum and no more than 14PSI difference between cylinders
