So, spent the day trying to figure out the body tilt of our leaf sprung rigs. I had about a 1” lean to the left with the dobinson 2” lift springs and the current TT parabolic springs. So I swapped the front springs and flipped them to move the front axle forward a little bit.
Results, no change 🤷‍♂️. I used a 1/4” spacer between the axle and springs to lower reduce the lift amount a little bit. So I removed the front spacer on the left side to raise that side. I got a lift of 1/2” on that side. Still about 1/2” to 3/4” difference between right side and left side.

I went through similar confusion with my OME springs 2 summers ago.
I gave up.

I realize this is probably not what your OCD wants to hear... but that is pretty close. No one usually has it all perfect on all corners, especially in a 30yr old vehicle that actually has been used for what it is made for.

Are you 100% sure the frame is true on all four corners? Not to mention that the quality control may not be as high as desired from the manufacturer of the springs. It could be that the best you can do is get it close as possible with your shims...

I will remove the spacer on the rear left tomorrow. It’s probably not much OCD😉 it’s just that my understanding is that the majority of our 70 series have this, so was wondering what was the cause.

Are you driving the truck hard between each adjustment?

I went through this a few months ago. I found that lean would change up to 1" as it settled and went over severe bumps. Eventually it all settled out, and I would adjust again.

my 70 series with a set of ome's sits level... ive heard the leafs are side specific with a + or - or an A or B
not sure which one would go on the high side tho

i just read something on here that also said an add a leaf can be used

Alright, finally finished. Saturday I was installing the spring center bolt and stripped it. So had to wait till today to go to a specialty shop for new ones. I guess the normal car parts stores don’t stock these anymore. So I bought 5. Stripped the new one trying to torque it down. Got another one and used my elbow torque wrench in that nut🤣.
After test drive front right is about 1/8” shorter than the left front. The rears are now even 👍 I will leave it at that.
I used the 1/4” spacers that were on the bottom of the TT parabolic springs, which had two on each spring.

With OME: A always goes on driver side ( regardless of LHD or RHD).
+ O - indicate near upper limit/ exact/ near lower limit of spec.
If you have the option to play around with + O - you may be able to set the truck level. But very few vendors or fitters offer swapping spring packs. Mostly you have to take what you get shipped.
Cheers Ralf
