I was wondering where everyone was buying their body mount kits from . And have any of you used the kits form the guys over at CCOT? Right now the red and black ployurethane kits are $174.71 and the were $211.21. I was just wondering how good they were and what people thought about them.

- Thanks

I bought mine off ebay and if I remember right they were 105.00 or real close to that They were energy suspension and worked perfectly fine. I wish I would have purchased rubber though to just help with any noise or vibrations but it is still setting in a pile so I am not stating that the polys were bad or worse I am assuming

Unintentional, but related, hijack: how difficult a job is it to replace body mounts?

Hi All:

I used the "Energy Suspension" brand body mount kit on my FJ40 when doing the body tub swap a few years ago. Nice parts, and a complete kit with everything you need.

For the pre-1979 40 Series the body mounts are not that difficult to change out - the hardest part is removing the old (original?) body mount bolts. Use a good penetrating oil like Aero Kroil. (Sorry, I have no experience with the '79-84 body mounts.)

Good luck!

Alan
