been using body filler to smooth over welds from my RQ cut on my 60, but the last layer of it hasnt dried, its a figerglass and stainless steel impregnated body filler, i didnt put enough hardner in the mix apparently.

anyone got any ideas on how to make it dry? because its impossible to sand.

what he said.....you only make that mistake one...it's a be-o-itch to take off goop like that.

Hey before you go digging it out, why not try a heat lamp or some type of high intensity light on it. See what happens, and if it doesn't work I guess you will need to remove it. If it dries then maybe you could sand it down and start over in that area. Just my thoughts.

I'm not sure what brand you're using but I have the best luck with Duraglass to cover my welds then precede with a regular filler such as bondo or something similar. You can try using a heat gun on what you did already or a propane torch but be careful not to burn it, if it doesn't get hard after that dig it out,. sand it and do it again with more hardner. I do this every day if you have any other questions let me know

Scrape it all out, and redo it the right way.

Yep what everybody else said but also treat the bondo/fiberglass whatever you are using like you would drywall mud.

many people have filler failure due to air or to much air being in the filler.

When you mix it use a big plastic bondo scrapper and fold it back and forth like rolling dough or something of that nature.....it will last alot longer than just stirring it.
