Has any one bobbed a 2nd gen 4-runner?
I just started ripping out the inside of it
I think the wife thinks I need mental help
Im also going to cut off the rear side windows and
do a custom soft top for the back.
Trying to put the runner on a diet.
I would like to make it as light as possible
and still have 4 seats for the family.

Havent seen any secon gen runners, seen a few 1st gen. After my accident, took it to Proffitt's and the ended up putting a 1st gen ex cab on the back of the runner(to enclose it) then shortining the the factory hard top. And doing a design kinda like all pro's flat bed design. I wonder if you'd be able on yours, to chop the to part of the back of. Put in a roll cage and thow a soft top on it??

Not sure if this is second gen or not but one of the guys in our club is tearing into his.

If you run a search on pirate4x4 you will find a bunch, I am planning on bobbing mine someday. It just makes too much sense, and it is easier than it looks!

I actually saw a bobbed 2cnd gen 4 runner over the weekend. Looked wierd, mostly because the rest of the truck was bone stock. Search on pirate, i'm sure it's been done many times already.
